We had a really lovely February here at the mill, Valentines evening was filled with beautiful red roses supplied by Sues Flowers along with many gorgeous couples enjoying an intimate candle lit dinner. We also ran our first Valentine Murder Mystery evening which again was a huge success, thank you to those who came along we hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

Spring is just around the corner, the flowers are starting to bloom, and the peacocks have got their beautifully long feathers back. We defiantly have a spring back in our step.

News from the Mill

We have been extremely busy here at the mill over the past few months with running events and planning new exciting ones. Apologies for not keeping you all updated.

We had our Ghost story supper event on the 14^th September; I must say it went really well. Thank you to Moonstone Company for coming and performing the eerie stories to our lovely guests. The food and wine went down a treat and the candlelit cosy atmosphere set the scene perfectly. We had the winners of the Western Gazettes win a wedding competition announced. For the fourth year Hornsbury Mill has sponsored the Western Gazette's Win a Wedding competition. The lucky couple will be getting married at Hornsbury Mill on Thursday, 16th May 2013 completely free of charge!

The PRIZE included:
•Venue hire
•Welcome drinks for up to 50 guests
•Three course Wedding Breakfast for up to 50 guests
•Chair covers in the ceremony room
•Silver cake stand and knife
•Evening buffet for up to 100 guests
•Honeymoon suite for the night with breakfast the following

We have our Halloween Murder Mystery evening coming up on Friday 26^th October,

The wonderful Murder to Measure are presenting the event, So expect some spooky goings-on and much mystery as the blood flows on the night when the dead walk the land. Dress to kill and join in the merriment at this ever popular event.

The evening includes a mouth –watering 4 course meal & entertainment £38pp. £10 non refundable deposit required. Accommodation is now fully booked. Please contact us ASAP if you wish you book a space, limited spaces are now available.

We also have our annual Wedding Fayre coming up on Sunday 4th November 2012 11am – 3pm. Please feel free to come along, it is free admission and a perfect opportunity for you to look around the venue and meet with our in-house wedding coordinators. You will also get to meet with many different suppliers, photographers, florists, wedding cake suppliers, dress companies etc. Collect different leaflets and business cards and make some good contacts. You will get many new ideas for your big day and get to try some yummy treats from the chocolate fountain.

Hello everyone!

We are so so sorry about the very late blog but we have very busy with all sorts of things!
Last month we had 2 proms for Woodroft & Axe Valley School, both were fantastic and the students had a great time!
We have had some fantastic weddings, even in the rain they were beautiful!

Our Head Chef Phil has introduced a wonderful new menu which is perfect for these hazy summer days...... a large selection of tapas style dishes, a variety of steaks and plenty of fish dishes..... its scrumptious!
We would recommend you book your table to avoid disapointment. Come and dine alfesco by the lake with the peacocks!

We have fantastic offer on at the moment to entice you to try our new menu.... 5 tapas dishes, a selection of Italian breads, feta cheese, olives and a bottle of wine...only £32 for 2 people!

We hope everybody had an excellent Easter Weekend, we certainly did here at the Mill! A scrumptious Sunday lunch was enjoyed by all and our Easter display went down a treat! With ducklings splashing around and the trees and flowers re-awakening, the grounds are looking beautiful again, all in time for the brides and grooms to get married in our outdoor gazebo by the lake!
